  1. Welcome to the world of remote bulletin boards for the IBM PC and RBBS-PC!
  2.           Copyright 1983, 1984 by D. Thomas Mack
  3. Before    installing  RBBS-PC you must first format 3 diskettes.     The  first
  4. diskette must be formatted with DOS on it (label it RBBS-PC).    The  second
  5. diskette must have a copy of BASICA.COM on it.     The third diskette will be
  6. used to put the RBBS documentation on.    It is over 100K and consists of 34+
  7. pages that you will be referring to often.  Mark the diskettes as follows:
  8. Disk  Label       General Description
  9.  1    RBBS-PC      This contains the RBBS-PC "system files" and when running
  10.           RBBS-PC in a two drive system would be in drive A.
  11.  2    DATA01      This contains the RBBS-PC "data files" and when running
  12.           RBBS-PC in a two drive system would be in drive B.
  13.  3    RBBSPCDOC   This will contain the RBBS-PC documentation  which  you
  14.           will be referring to often.  Print it out and then keep
  15.           this and the distribution diskette stored safely away.
  16. When you have done the above,  you are ready to start getting ready to    set
  17. up RBBS-PC.  Place your distribution diskette in drive B and your RBBSPCDOC
  18. diskette  in  drive  A    and  type  B:DOC.BAT.     This  will  unsqueeze    the
  19. documentation.     After reading the documentation (the first of many times),
  20. make sure your distribution diskette is in drive B and type B:STARTUP.BAT.
